What we collect, and what we do with it.

Written to be read. If anything here is unclear, email hello@recapsunday.com and we will explain it or change it.

What we collect

When you fill in the form. Your name, your church's name, your email, your phone number if you give one, your website, and whatever you type in the message box. That is it, and it goes into our own database, not a mailing list.

When you become a customer. The recordings or feeds you point us at, the transcripts we make from them, and the recaps we write. Those belong to your church. We hold them so we can serve the pages.

What we do not collect. We do not run advertising trackers, we do not use analytics that follow people across other websites, and we do not put a cookie on a visitor to your recap pages.

Who we share it with

The outside services currently used to process and host sermon content:

We do not sell or rent your contact information. We share it only with the service providers needed to run Recap Sunday, such as the ones above, and we will keep this list current as that changes.

Your YouTube account, and the two ways this can go

We never ask for your Google password. Not for the free check, not for the paid archive work, not ever. There is no version of this where a password for your church's account is typed into anything of ours or written down anywhere.

The free archive check reads only what is already public: the titles and dates anybody can see by visiting your channel. Exactly what a visitor sees, and nothing behind a login.

Rewriting the titles on your old messages is the one place a choice comes up, because the new titles have to end up inside YouTube somehow. Two ways, and the church picks:

If you pick the second one, here is exactly what that access lets us do: edit titles, descriptions and thumbnails on your videos. It does not give us your email, your Google Drive, your contacts or anything else in your Google account, because it is a permission on the channel rather than a login to the person. We use it for the archive work and nothing else, and when the job is done you remove us.

We will never ask for it. If you want that route you tell us, and if you change your mind halfway through we go back to the sheet.

If anything else about this ever changes, this page changes first, and we will say plainly what is being asked for and why before anybody is asked to agree to it.

How long we keep it

Transcripts and recaps stay for as long as you are a customer, because they are what the pages are made of. If you leave, tell us and we will delete them, or export them to you first, whichever you want. Enquiry form submissions we keep for two years and then delete.

Your say

Ask us what we hold about you and we will tell you. Ask us to correct it, export it, or delete it and we will, within thirty days, and usually the same week. One email to hello@recapsunday.com is the whole process.

We are a Wyoming business and we are not trying to be clever about any of this. If a rule in your state or country gives you a right this page does not mention, you still have it.
